A word from our Chaplain
Chaplain

Jesus said
"Come and see"

The church is a community of all sorts of people who have faith in God through Jesus. Not everyone who comes to church has a strong faith. Some are "just looking", and all of us go through periods of doubt or spiritual emptiness. Whatever the state of your soul, you're welcome.

Finding faith for the future...

It can sometimes seem as if religion is all about the past. But the Gospel of Jesus is focused on the present and the future. Jesus taught us that as we put our trust in God we find the freedom to live life more fully, here and now and for always. His life was the perfect example of this. So we come together to celebrate the way that Jesus lived, and died on the cross and was raised again. Our worship deepens our commitment to live in his way; to do God's will in the world, at work and in our personal lives.

....including Monday mornings

Our hymns are sometimes about heaven, but our prayers are always about the world, and the people in it. Our Sunday worship prepares us for Monday mornings, so that we can see God's grace in all the grit of everyday life, find strength to carry our burdens, to live in harmony with those around us, and to trust in God's love for us all.
